BA (Hons) Business & Enterprise Management

Course overview
Do you see yourself being involved in entrepreneurial and high-growth enterprises? Innovative enterprises can help change lives and transform the way we live. This course encourages risk management, creativity and the ability to make things happen.
The first year of the course covers the essentials of business and you will study alongside students on our Business and Management course. In the second year you can choose from options that include: Business Enterprise Management; Managing Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity; Business Law.
In the final year you will undertake specialist modules in entrepreneurship, innovation and management consulting. Throughout the course you will be taught by a supportive team of experienced tutors. Around 9 out of 10 of our students say that staff are good at explaining things (Unistats 2013).
Sunderland is one of the first universities in the UK to introduce employability modules across all years of an undergraduate degree. These help you strengthen the six key attributes of being capable, enquiring, creative, enterprising, ethical and global in outlook.
We encourage our students to undertake a year-long placement between the second and final years – although it’s not compulsory. It’s a great opportunity to get paid to put your learning into practice and to extend your experience.
