British University also comes under the same Quality assurance procedures as all
Universities in the UK, which is controlled by the Quality Assurance Agency (www.qaa.ac.uk)
Although
each UK
institution is responsible for the standards and quality
of its programmes, the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA)
regularly carries out independent audits. They ensure that institutions in the
UK are providing higher education, awards and
qualifications of an acceptable quality and at an appropriate academic
standard.
The
UK Quality Code for Higher Education sets out the Expectations that all UK
higher education providers are required to meet.
The
UK Quality Code for Higher Education applies to all providers of UK higher
education in all four nations and UK higher education delivered overseas. It
protects the interests of all UK higher education students regardless of where
they are studying or whether they are full-time, part-time, undergraduate or
postgraduate students.
QAA
regularly conducts reviews of UK higher education providers to ensure that they
are meeting the Expectations set out in the UK Quality Code for Higher
Education.
