Tempus meeting in the presence of SIST President Dr. Tariq Obaide and Vice President Mr. Graham McClloch

Tempus projects are funded by the EU Commision and they support the modernisation of Higher Education and create an area of co-operation in countries surrounding the EU. The scheme covers countries in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East.

Cardiff Metropolitan University is coordinating a three year project with Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia and Morocco, Italy and Greece on the topic of Leadership in Higher Education Management. The project is supported by the four Arab Ministries, the Magna Charta Observatory, the UK Leadership Foundation, the Arab Network for Quality Assurance Agencies and the Association of Arab Universities

SIST Sunderland are currently involved in a project called Leadership in Higher Education Management (LHEM) along with Cadi Ayad (Fes), Hassan II (Casablanca) and The Ministry of Education Morocco
